Outreach and Missions Ministries
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations. - Matthew 28:19
Outreach
Calvary Chapel Smoky Mountains outreach ministry strives to reach our community both locally and regionally. We do this in a number of ways, whether it's through our Disaster Relief Team, our partnership with the Pregnancy Resource Center or Lighting The Way food ministry.
Disaster Relief
Our Disaster Relief team provides boots-on-the-ground assistance to those in need following unexpected events.
Thrift Store & Food Bank
We partner with Lighting The Way Outreach, founded by Jim and Linda Odom. Lighting the Way Outreach is an organization dedicated to the well-being of our community. They provide a source of nourishment for those who may not otherwise be able to afford it.

Pregnancy Resource Center
Together, we’re breaking the need for abortion by empowering brave families with life-affirming options. PLC promotes healing through faith-based support programs that get to the root issue of why she is in the situation she is.

Intensive Care Ministries
Jim and Janice Larson have been full-time missionaries in Tanzania since 2011. They are the Directors for all of Africa under Intensive Care Ministries (ICM), an international ministry based in California which pioneered a simple, but effective, inductive Bible study (IBS) program being used around the world. The ministry focus is to equip existing local churches by teaching their pastors, elders, and leaders how to read and interpret the Bible properly, as most have about an 8-10th grade education. Through the IBS seminars, they identify the best pastors from all denominations to be invited to enroll in the free, 2.5-year Bible college. These church leaders graduate with the equivalent of an A.A. Degree in Pastoral Ministry with an emphasis on preaching.
