Disciple Now (DNow)
Disciple Now is a tremendous time of Bible study, worship, fellowship, and of course fun. DNow typically occurs Friday–Sunday during the early Spring. Students will stay overnight with people from their grade in single-sex homes. College-aged students will lead Bible studies in each of the homes and build relationships with our students. All students will gather together for worship led by a worship band and speaker. Students will also participate in recreation and/or local mission projects. Students, parents, and other adults will have truly a memorable experience with God and peers.
Summer Camp
Each summer our students will have the opportunity to attend a summer camp focused on introducing students to Christ and growing them in their walk with the Lord. Students will participate in daily Bible study, worship, recreation, and mission activities. At times, Junior High and Senior High students may have their own camp independent of each other. Past summer camps include Centrifuge, MFuge, and Student Life.
Mission Trips
Annually, Calvary Student Ministry will lead mission trips to either a national and/or international location. Participants will have opportunity to do various mission activities from working with children, construction, to marketplace evangelism to list a few possibilities. At times, Junior High and Senior High students may have their own mission trip independent of each other. In the near future, Calvary Student Ministry hopes to also offer family-based mission trips where students and their parents can participate in a mission trip.
Youth Evangelism Conference (YEC)
The Louisiana Baptist Convention conducts an annual Youth Evangelism Conference focused on training students to share their faith. Student ministries from across the state gather together for worship, training, and Christian music concerts.
