The Junior High ministry of Calvary Student Ministry is focused on those in grades 7-8. Junior High is a wonderful time of growth physically, emotionally, and spiritually for many students. Our passion is to partner with parents in establishing and developing a relationship with Christ that cannot be shaken. Students will be guided through God’s word, introduced to worship, encouraged to serve, and expected to share Christ through word and deed. Students will have opportunities to serve in areas of ministry at the church, in the local community, and throughout the nation.
In Calvary Student Ministry, a Junior High student can anticipate:
- An atmosphere that is warm and welcoming for all who choose to attend and participate.
- Being introduced to the love of Jesus Christ through the preaching of God’s Word, through the words and deeds of other believers, and through the intentionality of various student ministry programs.
- Being encouraged and equipped to walk with Christ in a right relationship.
- Connecting with peers and other significant adults in ongoing relationships that foster spiritual maturity and the regular activity of making Christ known to the world that surrounds us.
- Leading our student ministry in various capacities depending on the gifts and abilities that God has given each student.
- Worshipping, studying God’s Word, and praying with other students and adults.
- Fellowship and fun with other students through scheduled social events, trips, camps, and spontaneous gatherings.
- Sharing the love of Christ with others locally, nationally, and internationally through ongoing mission projects and annual mission trips.
- Opportunity to offer creative insight and evaluation of current and future student ministry activities.
