The College and Career ministry of Calvary Student Ministry is focused on those who recently graduated from the Senior High ministry, are currently enrolled in college, or are college-aged yet may be in the workforce or armed forces rather than attending school. Many churches often struggle with a void of students from the college generation. In order to maintain spiritual growth, Calvary Student Ministry strives to not only offer various ministries to the college/career generation, but to also offer opportunities to minister through the Senior High and Junior High ministries and various other areas of the church abroad.
In Calvary Student Ministry, a College and Career participant can anticipate:
- An atmosphere that is warm and welcoming for all who choose to attend and participate.
- Being introduced to the love of Jesus Christ through the preaching of God’s Word, through the words and deeds of other believers, and through the intentionality of various student ministry programs.
- Being encouraged and equipped to walk with Christ in a right relationship.
- Connecting with peers and other significant adults in ongoing relationships that foster spiritual maturity and the regular activity of making Christ known to the world that surrounds us.
- Leading our College/Career ministry in various capacities depending on the gifts and abilities that God has given each person and serving in various areas of ministry such as the Senior High and Junior High ministries.
- Worship, in-depth study of God’s Word, and prayer with peers and other adults.
- Fellowship and fun with other peers through scheduled social events, trips, and spontaneous gatherings.
- Sharing the love of Christ with others locally, nationally, and internationally through ongoing mission projects and periodic mission trips.
- Opportunity to offer creative insight and evaluation of current and future College and Career ministry activities.
